The Deal

So what’s the deal?
Are you a graphic designer? A painter? An illustrator? A model? A sculptor?
Unfortunately I haven’t reached that point my life where I can be sure of what direction to take my artistic talents. Some would argue variety is an asset; others would say it keeps you from finding a straight narrow crisp path towards success. It will be surely a defining point when i can confidently say i’m implementing my talents in the most successful and efficient way possible. Til then, I’ll be painting, carving, sketching ALLL across the board. I’ll let you know if I find myself.
Can I buy your work?
As of right now, few works that are up on the site are actually available (read: not thrown out) and in decent condition. One anonymous painting was actually considered for $2000.00 and that makes it all the more special as a stand alone piece. In general I am not typically attached to my work and would be gladly turning it to you for a negotiable price.
May I commission a piece from you?
Certainly. Email me! I’m very personable and would love to work with your needs. defragmybrain@gmail.com
Where are you going with this? It looks like there’s more painting than anything else and yet you claim as graphic designer.
It’s difficult. I ran this site featuring digital works as well as paintings – and it got all too confusing nor are they related in any way. My web and graphics work is featured on SFWEBDESIGNS.NET. My partner and I offer extensive web design services, please visit the site for more information. We also have an office in Los Angeles. Right now it seems with ongoing schedules at San Francisco State University, there is little time and even less inspiration to produce any original work. It is times like breaks and summers when I start crackin’ out some great stuff, usually in the wee hours of the morning. Patience is a virtue, more will be coming soon!
What Materials do you use?
Interestingly, materials are the least important to me when painting, sketching, etc. I find that you can use messy, dirty, unkempt or lesser quality materials get better results than with the fancy stuff. I like the grit and mess of unpredictable mediums. So i’ll grab anything i’ve got. Typically i enjoy thicker paints, acrylics and guasche. Ofcourse, the infinite ability to erase your steps backwards is nice, so I use Corel Essentials 3 to do some of my digital paintings.
